As a model-driven tool, DeKlarit needs to capture all that is unique for any given entity. The way you layout a form is usually an important part of designing and building an application. DeKlarit lets you visually capture the form layout by using a layout designer.
The new Layout Editor is a descriptive editor (not a WYSIWIG editor) that lets you define in which tabs/groups/columns your fields will be, how many rows they will span, etc, but you won’t be specifying fonts, colors, styles, etc. Those settings will be applied uniformly to all forms.
DeKlarit will be able to use the form definition for every presentation layer technology like Windows Forms, ASP.NET, the .NET Compact Framework, and in the future, Windows Presentation Foundation. There is nothing in the layout designer that ties you to a specific technology
